Where I Live!

I have managed to get a couple of photos of where I am staying onto this blog. Can you believe this studio flat has 5 bedrooms! It is right on the Regent Canal which has a nice pathway for walking and cycling. Jeri and I walked down to the Broadway Market my first day here and it is a lovely walk.


Barton is the student from the Royal College who is now in Calgary staying with Bob and enjoying the wide open Canadian spaces. His flat here in the East End of London is quite a wonderful place and his flatmates have been very helpful in telling me the best ways to navigate around this immense and dense city. It was a bit overwhelming for a few days and I was almost frozen with fear, but once I got out on my own and found routes to and from where I wanted to go, I began to feel more and more comfortable and not as if I was going to get lost, never to be found again. Fortunately Hayley had an old mobile phone that she wasn't using and so I got myself a SIM card to go in it and now have it in my pocket with all my flatmates numbers, so if I get lost I can call them to help me out. Haven't had to use it yet.
